Judi Ramsey Derr, 62, of Salem, Va., passed away at home, Friday, April 29, 2011 with her loving family surrounding her. She was born on November 9, 1948, in Fort Benning, Ga., daughter of Major General Lloyd B. Ramsey, Retired, and the late Glenda Burton Ramsey. In addition to her father, she is survived by her loving husband, David Edward Derr Jr.; daughters, Jessamine Guido and husband, Noel, Abigal Burton Derr and her fiance, Charles Blair Whyte, and Mackenzie Lee Derr; brother, Larry Ramsey and wife, Pamela Cadmus; and a sister, Lloyd Ann Wallace and husband, Kyle. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Services and interment will be private.
